  1. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated the country’s first bio refinery plant which produces ethanol from variety of biomass. The project is situated at Rahu in Pune district.
  2. Haryana government said it has decided to open canteens offering meals at subsidised rates to registered construction workers under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana, at 23 locations in the state.
  3. Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna, Union Urban Development Minister and Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan, Venkayya Naidu has adopted Titarvasa village in Jhalrapatan, Rajasthan.
  4. Maharashtra government has tied up with World Health Organisation (WHO) for eradication of Rubella measles and will start vaccination drive from March 2018. Children aged between 9 months to 15 years, will be vaccinated for Rubella under this campaign across the state.
  5. Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has become only the fourth person ever to receive The Fellowship Award since the inception of these awards seven years ago.
  6. India pick up the bronze medal as they brushed aside New Zealand 4-0 in Ipoh at the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey tournament. In the final, Great Britain beat World Champions Australia 4-3 to lift the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
  7. Justice Leila Seth, the first woman judge of Delhi High Court, passed away after a brief illness at her home in Uttar Pradesh's Noida. She was 86.
